Dark circles and bags under the eyes concern both women and men. The only thing for sure is that they are undesirable as they add years to us. There are many factors that contribute to their appearance such as:

  • Bad nutrition
  • Age
  • Heredity
  • Hormonal disorders
  • Allergies
  • Dermatitis
  • Excessive crying
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol
  • Physical exertion
  • Lack of sleep
  • Oxidative stress

Here are some tips to help you eliminate the problem.

  • Invest in a good eye cream that is right for you. Look for caffeine, vitamin K, vitamin C or retinol. Consult your doctor and pharmacist.
  • The eye area is quite sensitive. Do not rub it and always make gentle movements when applying eye cream or serum.
  • Always clean the area with suitable products and slow movements. Do not forget the make-up remover.
  • Wash with cold water. You can also place cold spoons or ice cubes wrapped in a thin cloth.
  • Avoid putting the face mask around the eye area. The products you should use should be exclusively for the eyes.
  • Use sunscreen regardless of the weather. Do not forget the sunglasses and the hat
  • Cut thin slices of cucumber and place them in the area.
  • Soak 2 sachets of black tea or chamomile in cold water and apply for 10-15 minutes.
  • Make rosemary compresses and leave them for 30 minutes.
  • Grate a potato. Place it on a gauze and then apply for 15 minutes.
  • Dip 2 cotton swabs in cold milk and apply it to the eye area.
  • Boil some parsley in clean water. Allow to cool and compress for 15 minutes. You can store the lotion in a glass jar for 5 days in the refrigerator. Use it 1-2 times a day.
  • Limit salt from your diet as it is responsible for retention.
  • Make sure your diet is rich in vitamin C, vitamin K. Choose fruits, vegetables such as carrots, oranges, green tea and drink plenty of water.
  • Sleep 8 hours every day on an anatomical pillow.
  • Do not sit too close to the computer or TV.
